The technology curriculum is important as it contributes to well being and social emotional and cultural development. It teaches pupils skills which are important for a positive life. It allows the opportunity to experience creative forms of problem solving, and that problems can have more than one solution.
Design and Technology
Design and technology is an inspiring, rigorous and practical subject. Using creativity and imagination, pupils design and make products that solve real and relevant problems. As pupils develop their subject knowledge they will apply other subject knowledge such as mathematics, science, engineering, computing and art. It allows risk taking, resourcefulness, innovation, creating capable citizens. Through the evaluation of past and present design and technology, they develop a critical understanding of its impact on daily life and the wider world.
Food Technology
Through Food Technology we aim to provide early experiences which help to develop children’s enjoyment of food, their understanding of the social contexts within which eating takes place, and their ability to make informed, healthy choices now and in the future.

Lego Based Therapy
Through participating in Lego Based therapy, it encourages collaboration and interaction. It helps children to develop their communication and social skills. Children will take on the roles of Engineer, Builder and Supplier. The sessions help to develop joint problem solving, joint creativity, joint attention and verbal and non-verbal communication.
